This free webinar will address how water, wastewater, and stormwater systems are often understaffed and underfunded. This leads to a conflict between the time and money it takes to complete all the basic tasks of the system, as well as the additional burdens of extraordinary events and the funding available. System staff must make decisions regarding the trade-off between funds and activities. Asset management (AM) provides a set of tools and practices that can assist a system in operating, maintaining, and managing assets in a cost-effective, sustainable fashion. In this webinar, we will explore the five key principles of the AM approach and apply these to green infrastructure. The session will also delve into an integrated asset management framework that blends green and grey assets.
This is the 4th webinar in a 10-part series focused on the financial, managerial, and technical aspects of green infrastructure. Experienced practitioners, policy and funding experts, as well as academics, will discuss the opportunities and challenges facing the implementation of green infrastructure.
