Today’s economy makes it more and more challenging to compete for additional funding. This presentation will give the participants an advantage over others who are competing for the same funds. We will discuss not only government funding opportunities, but also how philanthropically foundations which are a valuable asset to acquiring funds. There are Corporate, Community, and Family Foundations that designate a portion of their annual giving to Native Americans. Attend this session and learn more about who they are, where they are located, and who they have funded recently in Native America. Topics covered include developing relationships with funders, finding the right funder, writing the proposal by "telling your story", and understanding how to report back to the funder in a way that will increase your chance of being funded again.
