Details:
Join WaterISAC on September 12 to learn about the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Hunt and Incident Response Team (HIRT). A component of the National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center (NCCIC), HIRT provides onsite incident response, free of charge, to organizations that have experienced cyber attacks. When requested, HIRT can deploy a team to meet with an affected organization to identify infected systems, image drives for analysis, and collect other data to perform a thorough analysis. HIRT is also able to provide mitigation strategies and assist in restoring service and providing recommendations for improving overall network and control systems security. HIRT Senior Incident Response Analyst Brian Draper will provide an overview of the program and explain how it can assist organizations with their response and recovery to cybersecurity incidents. He’ll also address how to request assistance from HIRT and what to expect when one of its teams arrives to help, among other topics. HIRT has provided invaluable incident response and recovery assistance to water and wastewater utilities before. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn how your utility can improve its ability to manage potential future cybersecurity incidents by accessing this powerful resource. Cost: Free.
