  Details: The National Tribal Water and Wastewater Operator Certification Program of the Inter Tribal Council of Arizona, Inc. (ITCA), in collaboration with the Rural Community Assistance Corporation (RCAC), is pleased to announce a Regional Tribal Water Summit and Native American Water Masters Association (NAWMA) Meeting. This event is a forum for Tribal water and wastewater utility personnel working in or near the U.S. EPA Region 6 area to share ideas and concerns with peers, attend short training sessions, and earn professional certification. Includes:  FREE Training for Tribal Water Operators  Opportunity for FREE Tribal Operator Certification  FREE Operator Certification Exam  Travel Expense Reimbursement Stipends Available  Network with other Water Professionals in Indian Country. Agenda: 8-hour Hazwoper Training, The Importance of having a Backflow Prevention Program, Invited Speakers: Harmful Algal Blooms, Guest Presentation: The Otoe-Missouria Water Plant Project, Public Health & Tribal Sovereignty through Sustainable Water Utilities, Invited Speaker: Reciprocity with the State of New Mexico, Hydrants, Review of PRVs/ARVs, VFDs, and Meters, NAWMA Roundtable Discussion, SCADA Technologies, Budgets, Rates, and Metering, Chlorination Revisited, SDWA and the Summer Heat, Asset Management, Invited Speaker: IHS Updated and Tribal Utility Resources, Water Distribution and on Day 4 there will be an ITCA Operator Certification Examination Session.
