  Details: The purpose of NAWMA meetings is to provide a forum to discuss evolving drinking water regulations, technologies, and issues facing tribal water utilities. These meetings support local tribal water operators by providing relevant changing information and contact hours needed to maintain drinking water certification as well as allow for networking with regional and local operators. NAWMA sessions occur on a minimum quarterly basis throughout the year and are coordinated by local RCAC technical assistance providers. Topics will include: USEPA Region 9 Regulations Update, o Sanitary Survey follow-through o Annual Water Quality Monitoring  Backflow and Cross Connection o Identifying backflow situations o Backflow devices types/use o Backflow device basic operation and maintenance  Meters o Types of meters, uses o Meter selection o The benefits of efficient metering o An introduction to AMI and AMR. This training is eligible for 4 continuing education contact hours. Cost: Free. Morning snacks and lunch will be provided courtesy of the Morongo Band of Mission Indians. 4 Contact Hours will be awarded for participation. All Visitors Will Need a Valid ID to Enter the Reservation! Cost: Free Tribal Operators Only!
